What this tool does

This tool makes a QR code that loads your phone number into the dialer when scanned, ready to call. One scan and the person is a single tap from ringing you, no reading a number off a sign and typing it in. Set the size and colours, and download a PNG or SVG.

How to use it

  1. Enter your phone number.
  2. Set the size and colours if you want.
  3. Choose PNG or SVG, create the code, and download it.

How it works

The tool encodes your number as a standard phone link in the QR pattern, in your browser. When someone scans it, their phone opens its dialer with your number already entered, so all they do is press call. The code is static and self-contained, and nothing is uploaded.

Where to use it, and one format tip

A call code is at home wherever a quick phone call is the point: a support or sales hotline, a "call us" line on a sign, a flyer, or a vehicle wrap, a tradesperson's card, or an estate agent's board outside a property. Anywhere someone might want to reach a person rather than a web page, this saves them the fiddly step of copying the number.

The one thing worth getting right is the number format. Include the country code in full international form, like +1 555 123 4567 or +977 1 4XXXXXX, rather than just the local digits. A local-only number can fail to connect when someone scans from abroad, or even from a different region, whereas the full international number always dials correctly. It is a small detail that makes the difference between a call that goes through and one that does not. One honest note: the code loads the number ready to dial, but the person taps call themselves, so they stay in control. For a text instead of a call, the SMS and WhatsApp generators cover those, and the vCard QR Code Generator shares your full contact details.

Questions people ask

Does it call automatically?

No. It opens the dialer with your number filled in, and the person presses call themselves. It removes the typing, not the choice to ring.

Should I include the country code?

Yes. Use the full international format with the country code, so the number connects whether someone scans it locally or from abroad. A local-only number can fail for out-of-area scanners.

Where should I use a call code?

Anywhere a quick call is the goal: hotlines, signage, flyers, vehicle wraps, business cards, and property boards. It is ideal when you want people reaching a person rather than a website.

Is my number uploaded?

No. The code is built entirely in your browser, so your number stays on your device.
