What this tool does

This tool packs your bank details, account number, account name, and SWIFT code, into a QR code, so you can share them by scan instead of reading them out or typing them into a message. Enter your details, set the size and colours, and download a PNG or SVG for an invoice or a card.

How to use it

  1. Enter your account number, account name, and SWIFT code.
  2. Set the size and colours if you want.
  3. Choose PNG or SVG, create the code, and download it.

How it works

The tool encodes your bank details as data inside the QR pattern, in your browser. When someone scans it, those details are read out for them, ready to use. It is a tidy, accurate way to pass on an account number without anyone mishearing a digit over the phone or mistyping it from a scrap of paper. Nothing is uploaded.

What it does, and does not, do

This is the important part to be clear about, because it is easy to assume otherwise. This code shares your details for someone to read and use; it does not move money or fill in a transfer by itself. When scanned, it shows your account number, name, and SWIFT code, and the person then enters those into their own banking app and makes the transfer themselves. Think of it as a cleaner, error-proof way to hand over your details, not a "scan and it's paid" button.

That distinction matters for choosing the right tool. If you are being paid in euros within Europe, there is a proper standard that genuinely pre-fills the transfer in the payer's banking app, and the SEPA EPC QR Code Generator is the one to use, since it is built for exactly that. This bank details code earns its place elsewhere: sharing account details for a domestic transfer outside that system, or passing on international SWIFT details, tidily and without transcription errors. Two honest reminders: double-check every digit before you print, since a wrong character sends money to the wrong place, and remember the payer reviews and confirms the transfer at their end. For a payment link instead, the Payment QR Code Generator covers that.

Questions people ask

Does scanning it pay me automatically?

No. It displays your bank details for the person to read, and they enter them into their own banking app and make the transfer themselves. The code shares details; it does not move money.

How is this different from the SEPA EPC code?

The SEPA EPC code is a standard that European banking apps read to pre-fill a euro transfer automatically. This code simply shares your details for manual entry, which suits transfers outside that system or international SWIFT details.

What details does it include?

Your account number, account name, and SWIFT code, as you enter them. Check each one carefully before printing, since an error would misdirect a payment.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The code is generated entirely in your browser, so your bank details stay on your device.
