What this tool does

This tool makes a QR code that opens your LinkedIn profile when scanned, so a new contact can connect with you in one scan instead of spelling your name into the search box. Paste your profile link, set the size and colours, and download a PNG or SVG for cards, badges, and signage.

How it works

The tool encodes your profile link directly into the QR pattern, in your browser, so the code leads straight to your page. It is a static code that keeps working on its own, the same approach covered in full on the URL QR Code Generator page. LinkedIn has a built-in code in its app as well, but that is really meant for in-app scanning; a standard QR like this one opens your profile for anyone, whatever scanner or camera they use.

Where it earns its keep

Professional connections still tend to start in person, at a conference, a meeting, a talk, a careers fair, and the awkward part has always been the handoff afterwards: swapping names, mistyping them later, and never quite connecting. A LinkedIn code removes that friction. The moment someone wants to stay in touch, they scan and they are on your profile, ready to connect while the conversation is still fresh.

What happens when someone scans it?

Their phone opens your LinkedIn profile, in the app or a browser, where they can connect or follow. The code gets them there; connecting is their choice.

What if I change my profile URL?

The code would stop working, because it holds your current link. If you use a custom LinkedIn URL, settle on it before creating and printing the code.

Do people need the LinkedIn app to scan it?

No. Any phone camera or scanner opens the link, in the app if installed, otherwise in a browser.

Is my link uploaded?
