What this tool does

This tool makes a QR code for receiving cryptocurrency. It builds a payment request from your wallet address and an amount, so someone can scan it with their crypto wallet and pay you. It supports Bitcoin and several other major coins. Pick the currency, enter your address and amount, and download a PNG or SVG.

How to use it

  1. Choose the cryptocurrency, then enter your receiving address.
  2. Optionally set an amount and a message, then set the size and colours.
  3. Choose PNG or SVG, create the code, and download it.

How it works

The tool assembles a standard payment request, your address with the amount and message attached, and encodes it into the QR pattern in your browser. When someone scans it with their wallet, the wallet opens ready to send to you, with the amount filled in. They review and confirm the payment themselves. The code is static and self-contained, with nothing uploaded.

Getting crypto payments right

Crypto is unforgiving of mistakes in a way ordinary payments are not, so a few points are worth taking seriously. The good news first: a QR code is genuinely the safe way to share an address. Wallet addresses are long, case-sensitive strings where a single wrong character sends funds nowhere, and scanning a code removes that risk entirely, no copying by hand.

The cautions are real, though. Crypto transactions are irreversible: once sent, there is no chargeback and no support line to undo it, so if it goes astray, it is gone. That is why removing typos matters so much. Just as important, the sender must use the same coin and network as your address, since sending Bitcoin to an address for another coin, or on the wrong network, can lose the funds permanently, so choose the right currency here and make sure the payer is sending the same thing. And as with any payment code, the amount is a request; the sender reviews and approves it in their own wallet, so nothing is pulled without their action. For a reusable code that is just your address with no set amount, the Bitcoin Wallet Address QR Code Generator is the better fit, and for ordinary payment links there is the Payment QR Code Generator.

Questions people ask

Which cryptocurrencies does it support?

Bitcoin and several other major coins, selectable from the list. Make sure the address you enter matches the currency you choose, and that the sender pays in that same coin.

Can a payment be reversed if it goes wrong?

No. Crypto transactions are irreversible, with no chargeback. That is exactly why a QR code helps, since it removes the typo risk, but always check the address and coin carefully.

Does it pull funds automatically?

No. It opens the payer's wallet with a payment request, and they review and confirm it themselves. Nothing moves without their action.

Is my address uploaded?

No. The code is generated entirely in your browser, so your address stays on your device.
