What this tool does

This tool makes a QR code that carries a coupon, the title, the code, a description, and a link to redeem it. A scan hands people the whole offer at once, instead of squinting to copy a discount code from small print. Fill in the coupon details, set the size and colours, and download a PNG or SVG.

How to use it

  1. Enter the coupon title, the code, a description, and the redeem link.
  2. Set the size and colours if you want.
  3. Choose PNG or SVG, create the code, and download it.

How it works

The tool bundles the coupon details into the QR pattern, in your browser. When someone scans it, they see the offer, the code to use, and the link to redeem it, all together. It is a static code that works on its own, with nothing uploaded.

Delivering the offer, and redeeming it

It is worth being clear about the division of labour here, because it shapes how you set the coupon up. This code's job is to deliver the offer, to put the code and the redeem link into the customer's hands neatly and legibly. What it does not do is enforce the offer; the actual discount is applied on your side, when the code is entered at your checkout or the link is used on your site. The QR simply carries the message.

So the practical rule is to handle the rules in your own system. Make sure the code or link genuinely works, and set any limits, an expiry date, one use per customer, a minimum spend, where you manage your promotions, rather than expecting the QR to police them. Done that way, it is a clean route to put a discount on flyers, packaging, receipts, ads, posters, and in-store displays, where one scan beats hand-typing a code every time. For a broader campaign push, the Marketing QR Code Generator fits, and to promote a dated happening there is the Event QR Code Generator.

Questions people ask

What does the code contain?

The coupon title, the code itself, a description, and the redeem link, shown together when scanned, so the customer has everything they need to use the offer.

Does it enforce expiry or one-time use?

No. The code delivers the offer; the limits are enforced in your own promotion system. Set any expiry, usage caps, or minimum spend there, and make sure the code or link works.

Where should I put it?

Flyers, packaging, receipts, ads, posters, and in-store displays, anywhere a scan to grab the code beats making people type it from small print.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The code is generated entirely in your browser, so your details stay on your device.
