Welcome,
to Eon Tools
Our Story
Eon Tools started in 2021 as one engineering student's hobby project. A small pile of scripts for converting units, decoding strings, and generating passwords. Nothing ambitious. The motivation was simple: Many of the top results for these tiny tasks were slow, had not so good UI, and relied on server-side processing for calculations that should happen instantly in the browser.
If there weren't trustworthy tools for these jobs, we would build them ourselves.
One tool became ten. Ten became a hundred. Somewhere past a thousand, it stopped being a hobby.
The domain went live at eontools.com in 2022. Over the next few years, we brought in reviewers: doctors, engineers, researchers, analysts to check the tools in the fields those tools actually serve. Today there are thousands of tools across dozens of categories, built in-house and reviewed by people who practice the subject.
Still the same project. Still the same thesis: small tools, done carefully, that give people their seconds back.
Why Eon Exists
Modern life is full of tiny digital tasks that steal time one click at a time.
A quick percentage check. A timezone conversion. A password generation. A unit conversion. A text transformation. On their own, these tasks feel small. Over days, months, and years, they add up to broken focus, wasted motion, and unnecessary friction.
Eon exists to reduce that invisible time tax.
We believe useful tools should help you finish the task and move on. Not trap you in bloated pages, endless steps, confusing interfaces, or unnecessary waiting.
Mission and Vision
Mission: To reduce the invisible time tax of the internet, one tool at a time.
Vision: A quieter internet, where the small things don't cost you your attention, your data, or your time.
What We Believe
Tools should be faster than you are. If a tool takes longer to load than it takes to solve the problem by hand, it has failed.
Your data is not ours to keep. Every tool runs in your browser. What you type, what you calculate, what you generate, it never leaves your device. We don't want it. We don't need it.
A tool should feel obvious to use. Inputs should be clear. Results should be readable. The path from question to answer should be direct.
Free should mean free. No trial. No Pro version. No "sign up to continue." If a tool works, it works for everyone.
Tools should work for everyone. We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA: labeled inputs, keyboard-friendly flows, readable results. If something doesn't work with your assistive tech, tell us and we'll fix it.

How We Build
Eon Tools is built in-house, tool by tool, with a bias toward practicality, simplicity, and repeat usefulness. We aim for fast answers when you're in a hurry, and clear methods when you need proof.
Every tool goes through the same six steps:
Research. We start by understanding the real world task. Who needs this, what inputs they'll have, what edge cases will break it.
Solution. We figure out the right approach: the formula, the method, the shape of the answer.
Design. We lay out the simplest path from input to result. No clutter, no extra steps.
Build. Our engineers implement it to run entirely in your browser. No servers, no round trips.
Test. We run it against typical inputs and tricky boundaries, the numbers that usually break things.
Review. A subject-matter expert checks the formulas, the edge cases, and the wording. Only then does it go live with a Verified mark.
The reviewers are people who practice the fields they check. Doctors review the health calculators. Structural engineers review the construction tools. Finance analysts review the money math. Physicists review the physics. They work on their own tools in their own time, because they care about whether the public gets the math right.
When a subject matter reviewer isn't available for a particular tool, our internal QA team reviews it. Boundary checks, formula validation, cross device performance, before it ships.

Whats in Eon Tools?
Eon Tools spans thousands of tools across dozens of categories. You can search for them using the search box below.
Say Hello
If a tool is broken, a formula is wrong, or something could be clearer, tell us. We read every message.
If you have a tool we should build, suggest it. Most of what we've made came from someone asking.
We also build custom tools. If your team has a repetitive calculation you'd like handled properly,
Let's Talk
If you just want to say thanks, that works too. We're a small team. It means more than you'd think.
