What this does
So you have got a handful of options and you cannot decide between them. Put each one on its own line, tap Pick Random, and it picks one for you. That is the whole job. It does not care whether you have two options or two hundred, every one on the list gets an equal shot.
How to use it
- Type or paste your options into the box, one per line.
- Tap Pick Random.
- Read the result. Tap again for another pick, or Reset to clear the box.
One option per line is the key, that is how the tool tells them apart.
How it works
When you hit Pick Random, the tool splits your text into separate lines, then uses your browser's random generator, Math.random, to land on one of them with an equal chance each. It does not remember past picks, so every one is a fresh draw. All of it runs on your device, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
The usual honest note, Math.random is pseudo random and not for security, but for picking what to have for dinner it is perfectly fair.
When to use it
This is the everyday decision tool. Use it to choose what to eat, which film to watch, which task to start first, where to go this weekend, or which idea to run with. It is also handy for picking a winner from a short list, choosing who goes next, or settling any "I genuinely do not mind, you choose" standoff. If the result makes you want to go best of three, that itself is a clue about which one you were quietly rooting for.
Questions people ask
Does every option have the same chance?
Yes. However long your list is, each line has an equal chance of being picked, with no memory of earlier picks.
How do I separate my options?
Put each option on its own line. The tool splits on line breaks, so one option per line. It is worth skipping blank lines, since an empty line counts as an option too.
Can it pick more than one?
No, it picks a single option each time. Tap again for another, independent pick.
Is my list saved anywhere?
No. It all runs in your browser, and nothing you type leaves your device.
