Color Converter
Convert colors between HEX, RGB, HSL, HSV, CMYK, and Pantone formats. Choose the converter you need and keep colors consistent without manual math.

What this tool does
A colour can be written in a lot of different ways: a hex code, RGB values, HSL, HSV, CMYK for print, a Pantone reference, or a plain colour name. Sooner or later you have one form and need another, and hunting around for the right converter each time is a small, repeated nuisance.
This page solves that by gathering all the individual colour converters in one place, so you can go straight to the exact one you need. It is a directory rather than a converter itself: the actual conversion happens on the dedicated tool you pick from here, each of which is built for one specific change. Think of this page as the map, and each converter as the destination.
How to use it
- Name your two formats. Work out what you are starting from and what you need, such as hex to RGB, CMYK to hex, or Pantone to hex.
- Open that converter. Find that pairing in the list and click through to its tool.
- Do the conversion there. Enter your colour on that tool and read the result, with a live preview.
Decide the format you have and the format you want, pick the matching tool from the list, and the conversion happens on that dedicated page.
How it works
Every conversion on the site is its own focused tool, because each starting format needs a different kind of input and each result needs its own handling. A hex code, a set of RGB numbers, and a Pantone selection are entered in quite different ways, so it makes sense for each to have a page built around it.
This page is the index that ties them all together. It lists the converters grouped by what you are starting from, so you can find the pairing you need without searching the whole site. When you choose one, you leave this directory and land on the converter that specialises in that exact change, which is where the colour is actually converted.
The formats it covers
The converters here move between the main ways of describing colour: hex codes, the RGB and RGBA values screens use, HSL and HSV for working by hue, CMYK for print, Pantone for brand and print matching, and plain colour names. Most any pairing you would want has its own tool.
So you will find hex to RGB and RGB to hex, hex to HSL, CMYK to RGB, HSV to hex, Pantone to hex and hex to Pantone, and many more, along with tools that take a colour and give you its nearest colour name. Between them they cover the conversions that come up in design and development work, each as a separate, dedicated page reachable from this list.
Choosing the right converter
The way to pick is to name two things: the format you are starting from, and the format you need to end up in. Once you have both, the right tool is the one labelled from the first to the second, so a hex code you need as RGB means the tool called hex to RGB.
If you are not sure what you are holding, a few quick tells help. A hex code is the six characters after a hash, like a compact colour address. RGB is three numbers for red, green, and blue. CMYK is four values meant for print. A Pantone is a reference number from the Pantone system. Knowing which one you have is half the job, and the label on each tool tells you the rest.
Why each conversion is its own tool
It would be possible to build one giant converter that tries to accept anything and output everything at once, but it tends to end up cramped and easy to get wrong. Keeping each conversion separate means every tool can focus on one change, with an input made for that starting format and a preview suited to that result.
This directory gives you the same broad coverage without that clutter. Instead of one tool doing many jobs adequately, you get many tools each doing one job well, and this page is simply the place that lists them so nothing is hard to find. It is the trade that keeps each converter clean while still putting the whole set within easy reach.
Conversions people reach for
A few pairings come up again and again. Moving from screen to print is a big one: turning a hex or RGB colour into CMYK so a printer can reproduce it. Going the other way, translating a print or brand colour back to something a screen can show, is just as common.
In day-to-day work, hex to RGB and back is constant, because different tools and stylesheets want different forms of the same colour. Brand work leans on hex to Pantone and Pantone to hex, lining up a screen colour with a Pantone reference. And when you have a raw value but want a word for it, the colour-name tools turn a hex, RGB, or similar value into its nearest name. Whatever the case, the matching tool is one click away from this list.
Questions people ask
Does this page convert my colour?
No. This page is a directory. It points you to the dedicated tool for your exact conversion, and that tool does the actual work with a live preview.
Which formats can I convert between?
Hex, RGB, HSL, HSV, CMYK, Pantone, and colour names, in the pairings listed on the page. Most any combination you need has its own converter.
Why isn't it just one converter?
Each conversion is its own focused tool so it can handle that format's input and result properly. A single do-everything converter would be more cramped and easier to get wrong.
How do I pick the right one?
Name what you have and what you need, then choose the tool that goes from the first to the second, such as HEX to RGB when you have a hex code and need RGB.
