How it works

Vets use a simple guideline for diphenhydramine in dogs, about 1 mg per pound of body weight, given two to three times a day. So the core sum is:

dose (mg) = body weight in pounds × 1

So a 25 pound dog works out at about 25 mg per dose. The tool then turns that into a liquid amount, since children's liquid Benadryl is 2.5 mg per millilitre, and into a number of standard 25 mg tablets or 12.5 mg children's chewables. Safety, the part that matters most

A few things genuinely matter here.
