Generate Word Cloud
Our Word Cloud Generator has been designed for many word text. You might not get a perfect word cloud with few words.
What this tool does
A word cloud turns a block of text into a picture of itself, with the words you use most printed largest. Paste in some text, and this tool builds that image on the spot and lets you download it, handy for spotting the themes in your comments, captions, or feedback, or for adding a quick visual to a post or slide.
How to use it
Replace the sample text in the box with your own, then press Generate. The cloud draws onto the canvas, with the most frequent words shown biggest. Reset clears it so you can try a different passage, and Download saves the cloud as an image you can post or drop into a document.
How it works
The tool counts how many times each word appears in your text, then sizes every word by that count, so a word used ten times shows up far larger than one used twice. Those sized words are arranged into the cloud and drawn with Chart.js, a charting library, using its word-cloud chart type on a canvas, which is also what makes the result easy to save as an image.
Getting a word cloud worth sharing
Because the size is driven purely by how often a word appears, the everyday glue of language, "the," "and," "to," "a," tends to balloon to the front and crowd out the words you actually care about. That is the main thing to watch.
The fix is to feed it cleaner text. Strip out the common filler before you paste, or paste a focused chunk, like the keywords from your captions, the words in a set of reviews, or the hashtags you use most, and the cloud will surface what matters instead of what is merely frequent. It is a good way to see, at a glance, which themes dominate a batch of comments or which words keep coming up across your posts. If you want to visualise your tag usage, the hashtag generators pair naturally with it.
Questions people ask
What makes a word bigger in the cloud?
Frequency. The more often a word appears in your text, the larger it is drawn, so the biggest words are simply the ones you used most.
Can I download the word cloud?
Yes. The Download button saves it as an image, which you can post on social media or add to a document or slide.
Why are common words like "the" so large?
Because they appear most often, and the cloud sizes by raw count. Remove filler words before pasting, or paste a more focused passage, to bring out the words that actually matter.
What text should I use?
Anything you want to see summarised: a set of comments or reviews, the captions from your recent posts, survey answers, or a list of your most-used words or hashtags.
